Mr. Sixty is a band that represents the rock with the blues influences form England at the begining of the 60's with groups like The Beatles, Rolling Stones or Animals. The band os formed by Mike Shannon with the vocals and the harmonica, and Frank Andrada with the bass.
Santi Picó and Mike met in a jam session in Port Ginesta. After some years, the drummer Francis Rabassa had join the band that now is a quartet.
Mike Shannon, the founder of the Sarasota Blues Society and the Blues Society from Barcelona, has a large experience playing rock and blues concerts. Mike has played in some of the most important festivals in United States and Spain. He has played with Pinetop Perkins, the pianist of The Legendary Blues Band from Muddy Waters, Brian Setzer, Gregg Allman, Jeff Healey, Brian Johnson, Mark Hummel, Gary Primich and Lucky Peterson.
Santi Picó was a member of the popular band Tony Ronald, and he worked with Johnny Clyde Copeland when he was travelling in Europe.
Their first album, "Secrets That We Share" has 7 original songs and 3 covers from Allman Brothers. Vicente Zumel, from La Hora de Blues, said "they have know how to combine with good taste and judgment the pop music sounds from the 60's with the most contemporany blues".
