This XXIX edition of the Cerdanyola Blues Festival is in memory to Dr. John, Malcolm John “Mac” Rebennack, Jr.
A few months ago Dr. John passed away… We had him at the Blues Festival in Cerdanyola in 1994, in the sports hall, and 1998 at the
Ateneu’s theater.
Here he is remembered with love. A polite guy who went shopping to Prica’s supermarket and asked to walk through the cemetery.
That night danced until the dead ones.

The boy who grew up in Jim Garrison’s Louisiana and his crusade against vice got us deep inside.
May voodoo free us from madmen and vice lead us to the altars of a stage, addicted to Dr. Rebennack’s medicines.
For all “thanks beaucoup”, and this Festival will be “le loup garou”.
